Track 1: Short Form Basics

Monday, April 28 – Friday, May 2: 10 am – 5pm

open to anyone, regardless of prior tai chi experience

This is a rare opportunity to learn the short form in such a concentrated format.

Over the five day period you will learn the basic movements of the 16-part form from a senior instructor. In addition you will learn simple warm-up exercises that you can practice along with the form to develop better biomechanical
alignments, deeper relaxation and whole-body
connection.

This training is ideal for people who have studied the Energy Arts chi gung system but haven’t had an opportunity to learn the Short Form, as well as those who are looking for an accelerated way to start Level 2 Short Form courses
at Brookline Tai Chi.

Prerequisite: Open to anyone, regardless of prior tai chi experience

Time: Monday, April 28 – Friday, May 2: 10 am – 5 pm

Cost: $500 for the week
$110 daily rate (please call first)

$595 to attend the Standing Postures weekend as well

Track 2: Short Form Refinements

Monday, April 28 – Friday, May 2: 10 am – 5pm
with Energy Arts Senior Instructor Eric Peters

open to anyone who already knows the short form

You should consider track two if you have had the opportunity to learn the short form in the past,
and would like an intensive move-by-move review.

Enrollment will be limited in this track to ensure that you get lots of individual feedback and corrections.

At this level, you can begin to use the form to work “deeper” into your body. Eric will show you how the movements can
be used to stretch and open the body while you stay relaxed and aligned with gravity.

The refinements from this track are excellent preparation for the standing work on Saturday and Sunday.

Prerequisite: Open to anyone who already knows the short form

Time: Monday, April 28 – Friday, May 2: 10 am – 5 pm

Cost: $500 for the week
$110 daily rate (please call first)

$595 to attend the Standing Postures weekend as well

Track 3: Long Form Refinements

Monday, April 28 – Friday, May 2: 10 am – 5pm
with Energy Arts Senior Instructor Craig Barnes

open to anyone who already knows the long form

Anyone considering attending the October Long Form training with Bruce Frantzis to be held at Brookline Tai Chi, should strongly consider this track.

Rarely will you get a chance to take such an in-depth look at the complicated movements of the long form and get detailed personal feedback from a senior instructor at the same time.

Craig will determine what he will teach by asking those attending which moves or parts of the form they would most like to review.

Prerequisite: Open to anyone who already knows the long form

Time: Monday, April 28 – Friday, May 2: 10 am – 5 pm

Cost: $500 for the week
$110 daily rate (please call first)

$595 to attend the Standing Postures weekend as well
